Senior Java Developer

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to support the growth of an eCommerce Equity Derivatives platform, contributing to X-Asset FX capabilities. The role involves building and maintaining low-latency, high-performance Java applications within a Front Office trading environment, working closely with business analysts, project teams, and a central architecture team.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Java-based applications following coding and quality standards
• Own successful end-to-end delivery of development solutions
• Communicate progress regularly with stakeholders and project teams
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts throughout the development lifecycle
• Work with application support/production teams and provide 3rd line support
• Contribute to software architecture definition, identifying complexity and implementation risks
• Collaborate with central teams to define and evolve best practices

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant development experience (mandatory)
• Prior finance industry experience within Front Office systems (mandatory)
• Exposure to client connectivity protocols such as FIX, API, or Mail (strong advantage)
• Strong Java (17+) core programming experience, including multi-threaded, low-latency programming (mandatory)
• Relevant experience with Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Stream) (mandatory)
• Practical knowledge of Kafka or similar stream processing platforms (strong advantage)
• Relevant experience with GIT and code review tools (mandatory)
• Relevant experience with MS SQL or Oracle Server (mandatory)
• Practical knowledge of Angular (12+), TypeScript/JavaScript (strong advantage)
• Experience with DevOps practices and tooling (advantage)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (advantage)
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
