Senior Network Engineer

Summary:

Responsible for the design, implementation, and leadership of network solutions for complex, software-centric real-time systems. This role involves developing network architectures, configuring equipment, validating solutions, and providing technical leadership to ensure project milestones are met. The position also includes stakeholder management, risk identification, and team coordination.

Requirements:

• Develop and update solution architecture drawings, diagrams, cost templates, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Design and document network contributions, including Solution Specifications, Design Documentation, and Network Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Define, configure, validate, and hand over equipment for system integration in factory and customer sites.
• Support configuration changes, system platforms, and project design reviews.
• Provide customer training and identify risks at the solution architecture level.
• Lead small teams, ensuring on-time delivery of engineering artefacts with compliance to processes.
• Track team progress, estimate tasks, and forecast inputs for status dashboards.
• Act as the main point of contact for functional or technical topics within the team.
• Allocate and prioritise tasks, ensuring quality and compliance with configuration management processes.

Qualifications:

• Cisco formal certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCNA).
• 5+ years of experience in similar roles, delivering complex software-centric real-time systems.
• Proven experience in leading small teams and designing infrastructure and network architectures.
• Experience in designing network architectures in line with security standards and policies.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux (Red Hat distribution preferred).
• Familiarity with Cisco hardware and scripting (TCL/TK, Perl, Shell).
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple activities, and resolve conflicts.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Eligibility for Security Clearance (Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs CAT2).
• Occasional international travel may be required.
