Windows system Engineer (Azure)
The Windows System Engineer will design, implement, and maintain critical IT infrastructure components across both Windows and hybrid environments. The engineer will play a key role in deploying virtualized systems, ensuring platform stability, and supporting integration with application teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and commission new systems and infrastructure solutions.
- Maintain and upgrade existing systems, ensuring high availability and compliance with IT standards.
- Manage and configure Azure Stack Hub virtualization, including NSG, Load Balancer, Images, and Storage.
- Administer and harden Windows Server (2016/2019) environments, including Active Directory, GPOs, RDS, and Failover Clustering.
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL (2016–2019) databases.
- Deploy and support Linux-based appliances and Ubuntu OS environments.
- Configure and manage backup solutions using Commvault.
- Support networking and security configurations, including SSL certificate management.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure all systems adhere to IT security policies.
- Collaborate with application and network teams for seamless integration and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on system engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least 5 or more of the following areas:
- Azure Stack Hub
- Windows Server 2016/2019
- SQL Server administration
- Linux/Ubuntu OS
- Commvault
- Networking and security
- System hardening and patching
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation abilities.
